Jurgen Klopp has revealed Sadio Mane, Son Heung-min and Kevin de Bruyne are the three players he regrets missing out on signing during his time at Borussia Dortmund. Klopp

made a name for himself at Dortmund, guiding the team to back-to-back Bundesliga titles, as well as the DFB-Pokal and DFL-Supercup, as well as leading the team to the 2012-13 Champions League final.

He worked with the likes of Robert Lewandowski, Mario Gotze, Mats Hummels and Ilkay Gundogan during his time at Dortmund, but there was also one player he regrets missing out on at Signal Iduna Park.

One such player he failed to bring to Dortmund was Sadio Mane, whom he ended up meeting during his time at Liverpool.

“I saw some Dortmund fans coming to work with me. So I have to apologise for not signing Sadio Mane for Dortmund,” Klopp said at a gala in Cape Town.

“I can say I was young and naive then, but I’m not young and naive anymore. I realised when I signed him for Liverpool, ‘Fuck, we have paid a lot for a player who three years ago could have come for much less.'”

Klopp also revealed he made a mistake by signing Son Heung-min when he was still a rising star in Hamburg.

“Son was playing for Hamburg at the time, I didn’t sign him. I can’t even remember why we didn’t sign him. “

I saw him playing in the Premier League and thought, โปรโมชั่นพิเศษจาก UFABET สมัครตอนนี้ รับโบนัสทันที ‘Holy shit, we are so stupid!'”

Another target Klopp regrets failing to sign is De Bruyne, who has gone on to become a key player for Manchester City in their title challenge against Liverpool.

“I’ll say it again, Dortmund fans, we came really close to signing Kevin De Bruyne and then he beat us in the cup final with Wolfsburg. Double pain.”
